The UV LED should be driven by a suitable constant-current circuit rather than relying on the battery to define LED current. The battery supplies the electrical input, while the driver manages the LED operating point. A 2S PCM/BMS can provide over-charge, over-discharge, over-current and short-circuit protection, and an optional 10k ohm NTC can support temperature feedback. Finished validation can include capacity, DC resistance, charge and discharge performance, thermal behavior, protection response, drop, vibration and runtime under a representative UV load. IEC 62133-2:2017 plus AMD1:2021 is the principal portable lithium battery safety reference, with UN38.3 applying where transport testing is required.
