For lamp designers, voltage is not only a battery specification—it affects the current flowing through the cable, connector and PCB power path. A 7.4V architecture can deliver the same lamp power with lower battery-side current than a 3.7V design, helping simplify current management in compact lighting assemblies. From the battery side, every finished pack is checked for appearance, polarity, voltage, dimensions, connector condition, protection and NTC function; additional electrical and safety validation can cover capacity, DCIR, charge/discharge performance, overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuit, temperature response, vibration and temperature cycling as required by the project. Battery safety design is aligned with applicable IEC 62133-2:2017+AMD1:2021 requirements, while the finished luminaire can be evaluated against applicable IEC 60598-1:2024 and IEC 60598-2-4:2017 requirements. UN38.3 transportation testing applies where required, with CE, RoHS and UL requirements addressed according to the target market, battery design and final product configuration.
