LiFePO4 should not be charged using a charger designed for conventional 3.7V-class Li-ion cells. This 2S pack targets a 7.3V-class full-charge voltage and uses a protection design matched to LFP cells. During engineering evaluation, 0.5C charging and 0.2C discharge provide practical reference points, while final current limits remain tied to the selected cell specification. Validation can include capacity, DC resistance, charging behavior, protection response, short circuit, drop, vibration and temperature cycling. IEC 62133-2:2017 plus AMD1:2021 provides the main portable lithium battery safety reference, with host-lamp requirements considered separately.
